“Of all the Rasayanas, Amalaki is revered as one of the most potent and nourishing; Amalaki is the best among rejuvenative herbs.”
Charaka Samhita
This is a 30:1 extract, meaning 30 kg of berries is needed to produce 1 kg of extract. It cannot be compared to the dried and crushed fruit powder you will find in most Amla- fruit supplements today.

Being one of the absolutely most Vitamin-C rich substances on earth, Amla or Amalaki as it’s known as in the ancient Ayur Vedic texts, is maybe the best choice you can make in terms of Vitamin-C supplements. There is an extensive section about it’s benefits in the ‘Charaka Samhita’, the principle book on Ayur Veda; describing all it’s wonderful properties- that goes far beyond just supplying high amounts of very easily digestible Vitamin-C.
Amla berries contains about 700 mg of highly digestible Vitamin-C per 100 grams. This extract is prepared in the most careful way by water extraction so to keep the vitamins and other nutrients intact. The Vitamin-C you get from just 1 gram of extract is about 80-85 mg of highly digestible, 100% natural quality.
In addition to it’s extremely high content of Vitamin-C, Amla contains a host of other nutrients and is especially revered in Ayur Veda as being “tri-doshic”, meaning it balances all three “doshas” or humors of the body. It can be consumed all year, and by all body types.

Benefits of Amla
The health benefits of Amalaki sounds almost too good to be true, but there’s a very good reason why it’s considered as one of the best Rasayanas of Ayur Veda:

- May increase Mitochodrial function: The Mitochodria being the Powerhouse of the cells themselves, it is of the absolute necessity for the cells to absorb nutrients and stay healthy and strong
- Mat enhance digestive health: Amalaki’s potent sour taste is known to activate and support digestion, helping the body to easily digest, absorb, and assimilate nutrients. It also cleanses and protects the liver, which plays a critical role in transforming food into physiologically useful nourishment.
- May promote proper elimination: Thanks to its high antioxidant content and cleansing nature, Amalaki supports natural detoxification in the GI tract and throughout the body. It also soothes, tones, and rejuvenates the bowels, supporting proper and regular elimination of toxins.
- May maintain healthy blood sugar levels: Amalaki’s ability to stimulate microcirculation and cleanse the blood help to promote healthy blood sugar levels already in the normal range. It also has an affinity for the urinary tract and the healthy excretion of urine, which goes hand in hand with balanced blood sugar levels.
- May strengthen the bones, teeth, and nails: Its tonifying and rejuvenating properties help strengthen the entire body, but it is known to have a special affinity for building strong and healthy bones, teeth, and nails.
- May foster thick, healthy hair: Amla is revered for its ability to nourish and rejuvenate the health of the hair, leading to full, lustrous, shining locks—especially when it is used in a hair oil.
- May nourish the heart and respiratory system: Amalaki helps promote healthy circulation, tonify the muscle of the heart, and support the health of the lungs.

Dosage & recommendations
There is really no danger in taking too much of this wonderful substance, but a dose of approximately 1-3 grams every day, anytime you want in the day, should suffice for most people. Take it as a refreshing tonic in the morning, or mix it with a bit of honey and enjoy it as an after dinner tea. Mix it with warm water about 35-40 degrees C for ease of blending, but do not use boiling water as you will destroy many nutrients.
Warning:
1 gram measuring spoon follows every order.
Ingredients: 70 grams of organic Amla berries 30:1 extract- nothing else.

Been taking this together with Schisandra this winter, and there has been no traces of neither the flu nor the common cold. Excellent taste as well. Highly recommended product!
